Whatever Happened to Guild Productions’ Chattanooga Music Documentary?

On December 3, 2024, Guild Productions announced plans for a mini-documentary centered on Chattanooga’s local music scene. The proposed film was expected to feature established and emerging artists through interviews, live performances, and stories about the people and cultural influences behind the city’s music.
The idea carried real promise. Chattanooga has a deep musical identity, but many of its artists, independent venues, and behind-the-scenes contributors rarely receive sustained documentary coverage. A project devoted to those voices could have preserved an important piece of the city’s living cultural history.
However, we have not been able to verify that the documentary was completed or publicly released. As of August 2026, searches of Guild Productions’ public website and other available sources did not reveal a trailer, release date, screening, or formal update for this specific project. That does not prove the project was formally canceled; it means its public status remains unknown.
Guild Productions remains active in Chattanooga. Its current public work emphasizes artist development, release strategy, music videos, photography, and short-form promotional content. The company has also continued working with regional musicians. A May 2025 Chattanooga Pulse feature, for example, credited Guild Productions’ Blake DeRusha with videos, promotional material, and live photography for the Chattanooga band Red Pawn.
For now, the proposed documentary remains an intriguing unrealized—or at least unreleased—chapter in Chattanooga’s music story. If Guild Productions or anyone involved with the project provides a confirmed update, Chattanooga Music Scene will revise this article accordingly.
